The Forum is to gather about 500 participants from more than 30 countries, making it one of the most significant events for the global intellectual property market.
The key topic of the Forum is the development of the strategy of building a global intellectual property market in the conditions of the digital economy.
We are witnessing yet another paradigm shift: a transition to a “knowledge society” and the development of digital economy. A new kind of basic economic resource is becoming more and more important – creative products, which are intangible assets. Intellectual property must be a keystone of the new economy if we want creative products to be used most effectively.
The ongoing development and improvement of computer technologies means that Russia and the whole world will see radical changes in the intellectual property sector in the near future. The IP sector is going to become a major driver for digital economy.
The following organizations and companies have been invited to attend IPQuorum 2018 as strategic partners: the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO), the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), the Societies’ Council for the Collective Management of Performers’ Rights (SCAPR), the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM, the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (Russia), the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property, the Russian Organization for Intellectual Property (VOIS), the Russian Union of Right-holders (RUR), the Russian Authors’ Society (RAO), the law firm Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners, and the law firm Gorodissky & Partners.
